- Research interests
My main research interests are in optimization methods, deterministic and stochastic. The title of my doctoral dissertation is "Modifications of Newton's Method for Stochastic Optimization Problems", where several stochastic optimization methods were proposed, based on line search strategy combined with stochastic approximation method. After my PhD defense in 2011, I continued to work in the field of stochastic optimization methods.
Recently, I developed my interests in inventory models, so I have published several papers for deterministic inventory models with partial backordering. I am also interested in statistical modeling, mainly regression models. And, as a refreshment, research in mathematics education has become my newly defined field of interest.
